The RUH paediatric oncology service is based in the Children's Unit. We operate a 'shared care' policy with Bristol Royal Hospital for Children as our tertiary centre. All children and young people up to the age of 18 with a suspected cancer diagnosis are referred to Bristol for formal diagnosis. The majority of patients then return to us to have their treatment delivered locally.

The Children's Unit has a large outpatient area adjacent to the ward. The ward has a playroom, school room and chill-out room for those 12 years and over. We have 4 purpose-built cubicles with en-suite facilities and adjoining parent's room, which are used for oncology patients whenever possible.

It has entrances located on Combe Park road - the Main Entrance and the Accident & Emergency entrance.

If you need to drive through the city to reach us, please note that Bath operates a charging clean air zone (CAZ) in the city centre  

By Bus
The bus station is adjacent to the Bath Spa railway station in the city centre, approximately 1.5 miles away.

• Service 17 - Stops close to the hospital on Newbridge Road and Penn Hill Road.

Car parking is limited on the hospital site.

Parking discounts: £1 for Clinic days with nurse signature. Please ask your CNS for forms.

All blue badge car parking is FREE - there is no requirement to register blue badges. There is no time restriction for blue badge holders unless signage indicates otherwise
