Directions to Ward
Coming from the Cedars multistory car park, follow the signs to the Old Building. Coming from Marks and Spencer, walk down the corridor and make a left turn; Oak Ward is on the right, Children's Outpatients is on the left, and Acorn Ward is further up the corridor on the right.
Visiting Information
Ward will allow a minimum of 1 parent 24 hours. Please check with Ward staff for additional visitors
About Us
We are a general Children’s Unit providing care for children and young people from 0–18 years, as well as children with complex health needs up to 19 years. We have a bright, family-friendly environment with accommodation available for parents.
Our team is made up of registered children’s nurses, consultants and trainee paediatricians (including paediatricians with specialist interests), supported by healthcare assistants, play specialists and allied health professionals.

Parking
We have onsite parking in the Cedars multi-storey car park. You can find details on the hospital site map and locations are clearly signposted around the hospital site. Car parking is always limited at Musgrove Park Hospital with delays in getting a parking space at peak times.
Parking discounts
Car parking at Musgrove Park Hospital is free of charge for the following groups of people:
Disabled people holders of a valid Blue Badge attending hospital as a patient or visitor. Parking is behind the Old Building, following the signs for emergency access to Children's Unit sign at the traffic lights.
Frequent outpatient attenders all outpatients who attend Musgrove Park Hospital for an appointment at least nine times within 90 days
Parents of sick children staying overnight parents or guardians of a child or young person, under 18 years, who is admitted as an inpatient to hospital overnight. They will receive free parking between the hours of 7:30pm to 8am while visiting the child. This applies to a maximum of two vehicles per patient.
